These videos are not meant to make you a master at home repairs, but they can save time and money when your issue is a simple fix.

When issues arise, we are willing to help fix the problem.  In terms of repair calls, please call us when you have problems.  We can often help troubleshoot the problem and will call a repairman if it is beyond our reach.

We want things to work properly in your home, so please let us know when things are in need of repair.

A toilet is only meant to flush body waste and toilet paper.  Do not flush hair, feminine products, condoms, bathroom or make-up wipes (even if they claim to be flushable), paper towels, cat litter, credit cards, etc. down the toilet.  If your toilet is in need of continuous plumbing assistance due to flushing the wrong things down the toilet, you will be expected to pay the bill.

Garbage disposals are great but are not meant for coffee grounds, citrus peels, fruit pits and seeds, apple cores, fibrous foods like celery, onion skins, and potato peels.  ALWAYS run the water while the disposal is on.

Do not buy Drano to clear a bathtub or sink clog.  99% of the time, the clog is due to an obstruction, such as food or hair, and using Drano to clear it will not help.

When drainage in a bathroom sink slows, people often think of Drano as the first solution.  Most of the time, drain cleaners will not solve the problem.  The problem is usually hair and debris.  Watch this video to find out how to clear your clogged sink.

Is your shower or bathtub draining slowly? Try these solutions!

Not all showers and bathtubs are the same, but most are similar.  We have three videos for unclogging a shower or bathtub drain.

You can also use needle-nose pliers to easily grasp the gunk out of the drain.

Most of our properties have this type of drain plug.  However, some unscrew backwards.  If you are having trouble removing the plug, it is probably because it goes against the general rule of "righty tighty, lefty loosy."  Try unscrewing it clockwise.  You may need to use a washcloth to get a good grip on the handle.
